Integrating New Stories through Participation, Inclusion, Rights, and Expression - INSPIRE

Timeframe: 01.03.2026 - 31.08.2028

INSPIRE is an Erasmus+ project that is co-funded by the European Union and gathers partner organisations from 3 countries – Sweden, Luxemburg and Germany.

INSPIRE recognises that migrants, including those with disabilities, often lack awareness of how democratic systems work in their host countries, limiting their ability to have their needs heard and addressed. The project tackles this by equipping adult educators with innovative tools and methods to create more inclusive learning environments, using artistic expression and storytelling. The project also focuses on peer exchanges with persons who have faced similar situations in their host countries to foster well-being, belonging, and active civic engagement. Finally, the project aims to provide recommendations to decision-makers on how to meet migrants’ needs and be better positioned to design meaningful, evidence-based inclusion policies.

Expected Impact

INSPIRE aims to create lasting change across four target groups. Migrants (TG1) are expected to develop a stronger sense of belonging and wellbeing, a better understanding of democratic systems, and greater confidence in advocating their own needs through arts, culture, and storytelling.

Adult educators (TG2) will gain practical tools, resources, and intercultural competencies to better support diverse learners and promote inclusion.

Policymakers (TG3) will develop a deeper understanding of migrants' needs and be better positioned to design meaningful, evidence-based inclusion policies.

Partner organisations (TG4) will broaden their networks, strengthen their expertise in adult education, and integrate INSPIRE's methodology into their ongoing and future work.
