Call for project intern
We are looking for a full-time or part-time intern in project management for the autumn term of 2026 (October–January/February). The intern will work at our office in Malmö and remotely.

SwIdeas is a social enterprise based in Malmö that collaborates with small and medium-sized enterprises, public authorities and civil society organisations in the fields of training, education and research on social and environmental sustainability. SwIdeas operates in three interlinked areas:
We offer technical support and advice on capacity building to organisations;
We offer programmes and courses to give people the opportunity to further their knowledge and develop their skills;
We build stronger and more sustainable communities through non-profit social development projects in the areas of social inclusion, environmental sustainability, digitalisation and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Within these areas, we focus on building skills and competencies through education, research and support for the business sector and civil society. Our activities include the development of non-formal educational materials, the delivery of training courses and workshops, research and analysis, and the organisation of information and training events.

Circular economy and zero waste
Gender equality in the workplace
Economic, social and governance (ESG) practices for small and medium-sized enterprises
Women’s leadership and economic participation
Youth leadership on social and environmental issues and economic participation
Inclusion of migrants with disabilities in democratic processes

As an intern, you will work on projects relating to sustainable social development. As an intern, you will work closely with our team at SwIdeas AB on our projects and day-to-day activities. We are looking for someone who is driven and detail-oriented, and who enjoys working both as part of a team and independently. You will be expected to undertake various tasks and assignments in connection with our projects, with a particular focus on the following:
Ensuring continuous communication to maintain and develop cooperation with potential partners, target groups for our projects and key stakeholders involved.
Conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methods within the project’s subject areas and with their target groups.
Be involved in planning meetings, training activities and events within the framework of our projects
Develop analytical reports, training materials and presentations to share results, conclusions and recommendations with the team.
Assist with the implementation of our projects specifically related to environmental goals, sustainable development and inclusion,
Contribute to the overall scope of SwIdeas’ work by attending team meetings, helping to support other staff in their work, and contributing ideas and feedback across the organisation.

We are looking for someone studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, sustainable development, social sciences, ecology, environmental science or a similar field. Previous work experience and extracurricular activities in the fields of education and sustainability are also considered relevant.
A passion for the topics we focus on, such as social and environmental sustainability.
You are a self-starter and find it easy to network and communicate with relevant stakeholders
You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to handle challenges in a constructive and positive manner.
Very good command of Swedish – both spoken and written – and at least an intermediate level of English are required.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to develop analytical reports and presentations to share results, conclusions and recommendations with your team.
Knowledge of and an interest in quantitative and qualitative research methods is an advantage.
Knowledge of gender equality, digital inclusion and migration issues is an advantage
Strong digital skills (Microsoft Office, Canva, social media, AI tools, etc.)

The placement lasts 4-5 months, either part-time or full-time, for approximately 20 (min.) to 35 (max.) hours per week.
• Interns are required to attend our office in Malmö a couple of days a week.
• Start date: from October 2026
• This is an unpaid internship, and we therefore prefer you to be enrolled on a university programme during this period.
