Diverse Strengths

Diverse Strengths is a two-year project co-funded by the Nordplus Adult programme. It is being implemented by 3 partner organizations in 3 Nordic countries: Hitt Husid in Iceland, LIVE in Finland and SwIdeas in Sweden.

The aim of the project is to develop pedagogical tools and take a blended learning approach, to create workshops used for competence development in reaching the labor market. Each workshop will be adjusted to all partner countries.

The target group are young adults, 18-25 years old, with an immigration background and/or language barriers who are in the NEET group (not in education, employment or training). The goal is to support them in utilizing and realizing their strengths, boost employability and help them to get active again.

Since we have similar challenges in our work, we think each partner will bring different perspectives and experiences to the table. By learning from the past’s success and failures, we hope this transnational initiative helps us create useful tools in facing this societal task that can be utilized across all participating countries.

The final product of this project will be a handbook on how to execute these workshops, with instructional videos explaining implementation and other details. This material will be available on the project’s website.
