CONVOLUT

CONsider your skills for VOLUnTeering (CONVOLUT) is a KA2 Cooperation Partnership in adult education co-funded by the Erasmus+ fund of the European Union. Led by Deutsches Institut fuer Erwachsenenbildung eV Leibniz-Zentrum für Lebenslanges Lernen (Germany), the project gathers partnerships from Austria (DIE BERATER UNTERNEHMENSBERATUNGS GESELLSCHAFT MBH), Slovenia (Andragoski zavod Ljudska univerza Velenje), Spain (FORMACION PARA EL DESARROLLO E INSERCION, SOCIEDAD LIMITADA), Greece (DAFNI KENTRO EPAGGELMATIKIS KATARTISIS), and Sweden (SwIdeas AB).

The CONVOLUT project is targeting people at the beginning of retirement, counsellors and other relevant stakeholders working with this target group. The aim of the project is to provide persons at beginning of retirement options for organising their free time in a meaningful way. Volunteering can be considered as an option for shaping their retirement in a meaningful way. They can become aware of their competences and learn how they fit with options to engage in volunteering. Finally, the project will work with counsellors who work with the group at the beginning of retirement, so that they can guide them in the process of identifying their competences and deciding on volunteering. These counsellors are the second target group of the project. The counsellors will be qualified for the tasks of competence assessment and counselling on voluntary services and be able to use appropriate tools.

The first project result will be a comprehensive report of identification of needs, which will be the starting point and groundwork for the development of the project results. The central result will be an adapted ProfilPASS for people at the beginning of retirement, a tool to measure competencies. CONVOLUT’s main aim is to develop a version of this tool that has a clear orientation of the competence assessment towards the commencement of voluntary work, which is specially tailored to work with people at the beginning of retirement.
